I am awakening to relatedness with the seen and unseen world.
Connection is a devic essence made on at Point Whitehorn Marine Preserve in Birch Bay, WA. The devic beings there created this essence to foster life-changing relatedness to the beings who co-create the world we live in. This essence is about recognizing the unseen, seeing (through inner sight) what is hidden. It takes one from the feeling of being an outsider to being invited in, your full, whole self, and being accepted and honored by others in the natural world. It is about creating through kinship and renewal through relationship. This allows for toxic environments to be transformed into new life, recognizing what is wrong and addressing it through deep relationship. Connection allows us to notice changes and respond. It opens one's self up to the "other" and brings the two energies into alignment. It honors the border crossers who have hearts in multiple places or dimensions. There is a non-judgmental equanimity to this essence that allows one to dance with change and stay true to one's self, connecting with one's destiny.

Emergence
Becoming a conduit for earth's evolving consciousness.
I am the consciousness that is being birthed by Gaia.
Emergence is a devic essence co-created with nature spirits near Salem, OR during the 2021 Fairy Congress. This essence started out with the name "reconciliation" as it was about human reconciliation with each other and with the fairy realm and nature. But when it was completed, it wished to be called "emergence" to honor that when two things come together a third is born. It works with the dynamics of the sacred masculine and feminine working together to bring about healing. It supports the trust in the birthing of that third thing. We never know quite what it will be, but we can open ourselves to the dance of becoming and breathe a collective sigh, hearts open, when the new emerges.
The Gate of Twilight from the Card Deck of The Sidhe by David Spangler and Jeremy Berg came in to support the essence. It spoke about being in a collective "in-between" space, deep in transition. The outcome is unclear, so the courage to step into the unknown is needed. This essence supports that courage through heart opening medicine. It is also about stepping into our power and, as we do so, owning all the parts of us in joy and humility, and holding our deficiencies with curiosity and compassion.
This essence can also be used on the land to support grid work. By helping to support the earth's changing consciousness, we support the emergence of our own consciousness to ever widening circles of awareness and ability. It helps to tune into the minerals that are supportive of life, including the minerals we personally need to have in balance to maintain health.
A little stream and the undine beings there (along with MANY other entities) offered their wisdom to this essence. Water is life. Change can be in flow. It can be tuned into the lifeblood of the earth, respectful of resources that sustain us. That is part of the reconciliation work and that respect allows for emergence.

Council
Showing up in relational integrity in council with the unseen.
I am my authentic voice and listening heart in council with the unseen.
Council is a devic essence co-created with nature spirits at the Hundred Acre Woods in Fairhaven, Bellingham, WA. A council of nature spirits and ancestors of the land came together to create this essence. They spoke of the importance of the circle in council. In circle, you have your allies near you and a general "arc" of common energy shared with those surrounding you. Then you have those opposite you who can potentially hold tension or act as teachers or expose shadow. There are also mediating forces between the two polarities, providing strength and integrity to the whole. All of this opens a space in between the council members, a sacred void that is fertile ground for something new to be born. Even if the members of the council all play a different part, the circle is a whole. The whole is influenced by its parts and the parts are influenced by the whole.
This essence is designed to support your transformation, so you can enter into council, a dynamic relationship with the unseen, from a place of relationality, but also respecting your personal sovereignty, the integrity of your being. To be in council with another, one must express one's truth, be tuned into intuition as well as be receptive of the guidance and wisdom of others. This essence can help push through any stagnancy, resistance or misperception that is keeping you from entering into relationship. It can act as an opening, or a draw into deeper levels of consciousness of a land. It can help you entrain with the land, so there is a meeting of minds. It is an excellent essence to use when you wish to call a council of unseen beings to work with you in an intentional way.

I am the blessing and challenge of refuge.
Refuge is a devic essence made on my family land in Blaine, WA. The nature spirits there created this essence to help one explore one's relationship to refuge. The essence offers the blessings of refuge to those who need it, but also offers an experience of the challenge that can come from reliance on a refuge that one needs to move beyond in order grow. It also offers an opportunity to explore how one creates and respects a place of refuge for non-human beings.

Reckoning
Tending the grief of ecocide.
I am the transformative holding of grief and pain.
Reckoning is a devic essence made at Stimpson Reserve in Bellingham, WA during one of the hottest days on record in June. Several devas there worked together to create this essence to help individuals open to the painful reality of ecocide in a way that brings transformation and resilience. It also helps you recognize your role in this ecocide and gain clarity about where you are called to action or change. This is deep root and shadow work aimed at increasing the capacity to respond to the reality of what is happening to non-human beings during one of the largest mass extinctions known to this planet.
Dragon energy is part of this essence.

Refuge is a devic essence co-created with a copper birch and the harbor in the center of Blaine, WA. The nature spirits there have been adapting to human-impacted environments while staying true to their essence. They offer the wisdom of clarifying the will and aligning it with one's truth. This essence has a sense of joyous, simple connection to the world, an ecstacy of intimacy with the earth...like growth as an expression of love for creation. It is a border crossing essence, helping one to reach out and become freely while keeping good boundaries to protect one's process. It holds the wisdom that changing tides and challenges add to the process of becoming, not take away. This essence has wisdom about wise transitions. When it is the season of letting go, the season of growth, the season of going quiet and within, the season to shine your love according to your nature, tall and proud. It helps with addictions or weaknesses where we undermine ourselves or even actively destroy ourselves. It offers lessons about instinct, vulnerability, awareness, self preservation, and attunement. It offers the wisdom of growing where you are planted and calming the restless and impatient heart.
